The Trials We Underwent Before We Were Able To Move Into Our Very Own Home
My parents and I were at odds when I got married because I was only 18 years old then. Added to the aggravation was the fact that my husband was 40 years old and has just been laid off from his job. However, we could not postpone love.
Even if we were financially hard up, we were determined to make our relationship work because we both knew we were destined to be with each other. And even if we both had good jobs and both had lots of money, we would still be in misery if we would be away from each other. So, to profess our love, we married each other.
So, there we were, living in a single-room apartment with only $220.00 in the bank. That is all that we had left after paying the one month deposit, one month advance in the rent. We would scrimp out for food, water, gas and power bills at the end of the month so we had to find a job fast. However, getting a job was not easy because for one vacancy, 100 applicants are lining up for the position.
My husband and I were not very qualified since I was young and have had no previous employment. My husband only knew cleaning and maintenance jobs. We both needed a decent-paying job. My husband was a good singer so, twice a month, he would stand in for a singer in a bad who had a regular gig at another bar twice a month.
My husband soon gained the approval of the audience and the owner of the bar that he was given a regular gig every night. Soon enough, we were able to save up enough and began looking for a realtors Lynchburg. We looked at homes for sale Lynchburg in the real estate Lynchburg directory. Afterwards, we were able to pay the initial payment and were able to move into our new home.
